Jon & Sophie: Rustic & Romantic Mountain Summer Wedding (Mount Norquay, Banff, AB)

In the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Jon & Sophie said "I do" surrounded by trees, mountains, and all their loved ones. Their wedding vision was brought to life with a personalized and fun-filled celebration that incorporated elements of the bride's German heritage, including unique touches like having a family member officiate their wedding and serving Bavarian-style pretzels as part of the cocktail hour menu.

The couple had a blast during their first look and during bridal party photos, especially riding the Mt Norquay gondola to the top of the mountain for stunning views and fabulous portraits. Following their sweet and emotional outdoor ceremony, guests were greeted with drinks and appetizers on the patio of the Upper Lodge, along with a live singer who was also a friend of the couple.

The couple did away with traditional buffet calls for dinner, and instead collected cash from each table as part of a game where the LAST table called to the buffet wins the entire cash envelope! During the decadent buffet dinner, there were many many thoughtful and touching speeches from friends, family and the wedding party and as always, we made sure to sneak the giddy couple away for breathtaking golden hour photos just before sunset. The party continued well into the night with a packed dance floor AND a packed photo booth that was also their guest book ... filled with memories to remember for a lifetime!
